Week 3 - more of the same
Week 3 saw no change at the top of the table. Michael Constable's Constable Athletic still leads the table with a total of 214pts, with Albino Athletic keeping Chris Weller in the runners up spot. Steve Major's Shark XI were unable to regain their top of the table position from Week 1, keeping him in 3rd place.
But the Most Interesting Team of the Week Award has to go to Jack Poplett's Riverside who, with 70 pts, were the highest scoring team this week. It was his captain Carlos Tevez that did the damage scoring a cracking 30 points, with Podolski, Nolan and Vermaelan chipping in with 12, 8 and 6 points respectively.
Having scored the goal that put Horley ahead in the FA Vase derby against Redhill, this was a neat way for Jack to finish the weekend!
Week 2 - All change
Week 2 of our Fantasy Football League shows how fickle this game is. We have a new leader and a new week winner in Michael Constable's Constable Athletic. With a score of 81, added to last weeks 69, gave him a running total of 150 and a deserved place on top of the leaderboard.
That score consisted of double digit scores from Banes, Tevez and Torres, as well as 7s, 8s and 9s from Ashley Cole, Vermaelan, Maloney, Gerrard and Yaya Toure.
Week 1 throws a Major double whammy
With the first weekend's Premiership games nearly over, our Fantasy Footie league has an early leader. Shark XI, managed by 1st team striker Steve Major have scored a blinding 65 points, with Rio still to play against Everton tomorrow night. It was Sharks midfield trio that did most of the damage, with Nasri and Duff both featuring in the team of the week, and contributing 12 and 13 points respectively, while Lampard completed the midfield with a respectable 9 points. Clean sheets for Cech, Vermaelan and Hangeland helped out as well.
