Teams have played under the name of Bedfont F.C.since the end of the 1800,s as the photographs in our clubhouse show. They played their games on a number of local sites, the first being Bedfont Green, from there they had a short spell at Rectory Meadow in Hanworth, then back to Bedfont Recreation ground, as there was no changing rooms the teams changed at Bedfont Institute and walked the half mile to the ground. During the war years this was used as an army camp for the Royal Artillery and was fitted with 4 enormous anti aircraft guns, they were kind enough to leave most of the fittings behind after the war.Wimpey who were building Heathrow Airport carved out a pitch in the airport which was used until the new recreation ground was built. Our colours also changed over the years from claret & blue, and old gold and ending up as the yellow & blue we wear today. Our club was formed in 1900 as Bedfont Institute and in 1968 amalgamated with two local clubs, Bedfont Rangers founded 1950 & Fairholme United founded 1953. The club was later joined by Interharvester in 1973.

In 1968 the club moved into Intermediate football joining the Middlesex League, winning the premier league in 1973/74,the premier cup in 1970/71 and again in 1976/77,the Middlesex Intermediate cup was added to the collection twice,1969/70 & 1976/77.In 1983 the club moved into the Surrey County Premier League, winning that division in 1984/85 & 1986/87.In 1987 Senior status was gained and with it promotion to the then Dan Air Combined Counties League. Since joining the club have yet to record league success, but have twice been to league cup finals, winning the Challenge Vase in 1992/93 beating Sandhurst Town 2-1 at Woking F.C.in 1994/95 we were beaten 1-0 by Chipstead.1999/2000 saw Bedfont win the London Senior Cup beating Erith Town 5-1. With the completion of major ground improvements we now look forward to making the next step up.
