Glad to say we got back to winning wyas after a heavy defeat in the league cup last week with a 4 - 1 victory away to Epsom Eagles Serpents. Conditions were difficult with Horley playing into a stiff breeze in the first half and 15 minutes into the match went one behind to a goal from along ball over the top which Epsom put away well. Horley showed a lot fight especially in midfield and began to play some good football, We got our reward with ten minutes to go to half time when Dominic Capany got his second of the season with a great stike from an accute angle in off the far post. With the wind with us in the second half we began to dominate the midfield and with our back four on top we started to make some good chances. We made a change in central midfield with Will Lush coming on and Tom Michell shifting to the right side and within one minute Will gave us the lead with a powerful shot from the edge of the box right into the bottom corner. Shortly after our second Epsom were down to ten men when their right sided midfield player went off injured and within two minutes James Ford latched on a through ball to score our third and his sixth of the season. Niall Healy finished off the scoring with five minutes left with an emphatic strike from the penalty spot after Danny Knaggs was brought down in the box. A great all round performance, well done lads!!
