>Towns Under 9 Eagles became Invitation Cup Winners for 2010 with a very hardworking 1-0 Victory over Three Bridges Piranhas at the 3G.

In a tense first half Town pressed hard and kept Bridges defence busy and camped out in their half trying to breakthrough but halftime arrived with the score at 0-0.

After a halftime pep talk and briefing from coaches Remfry and Parsons the Eagles emerged re- energised and hungry for the win. Midfield magic from Strudwick, Parsons, Walsmsley and Remfry kept Bridges pegged down. Meanwhile Langmead and Robson did their best to hem in the Bridges Defence.

Bridges had their moments to escape the onslaught, but were handled superbly by defensive dynamo Sydenham who was aided by being cheered on from Storr, his injured defensive partner!Towns goal never came under serious pressure but was as ever confidently kept by Holmes. After a very hard league campaign it was just rewards when Remfry poked home the winner from Strudwicks set piece and a hardworking display was capped by the skipper lifting the cup.
