Town played ex Ryman Club Raynes Park Vale Football Club at the new defence, and picked up a good win and three more points making it two straight wins for Town. In the opening minute new signing Darren Tidy making his home debut
broke through the centre and shot which the Park keeper did well to save at the second attempt. With five minutes played Luke Raggetti played a great ball through to Jamie Risebrow who controlled the ball and shot well but the keeper saved well diving down to his left and putting the ball out for a corner. Five minutes later John Eldred broke through the centre and the offside trap and shot a powerful shot at the keeper which again he saved at the second attempt. With twenty two left Raynes Park thought they had scored but young Town keeper Stewart Devlin saved the ball on the line. With sixteen minutes left in the half Darren Tidy had a long range shot go just wide. Minutes later Adam Pullen had a shot which the keeper had to tip over the bar. With four minutes left a Luke Reggetti corner was headed goal bound by Adam Pullen but the keeper saved it on the line but Darren Tidy was on hand to fire Town into the lead to send them in at half time one nil up. In the six minute a well taken free kick by Luke Reggetti found Ben Hardman who fired the ball home to let Horley have a two nil lead. In the thirteenth minute Adam Pullen saw the keeper save his shot from the edge of the box. Raynes Park Vale then had a player booked and Horley took of the injured Darren Tidy and brought on came. Raynes Park then broke through the centre but shot high over the cross bar. With twenty six minutes left for the second game running a penalty was awarded against Town and Raynes Park scored from the spot making it two one to Town. Minutes later Town’s Jamie Risebrow hit the cross bar and the ball bounced to safty.Raynes Park then picked up their second booking of the game. With twenty left Luke Reggettii free kick found Adam Pullen’s head but the keeper saved the shot. Played switched to the other end and Stewart Devlin pulled of the save of the game fantastically tipping the ball round the post. With six minutes left Luke Jones replaced Jamie Risebrow up front for Town.
