Horley Town F.C.

In the last game of the season and the last home game and the last for Ali Rennie in charge Town put on a great first half but in the second half they were put under a lot of pressure but held out for a final day win at the New defence.With five minutes played Luke Raggetti got pulled down on the edge of the area after some great ball skills. Mark Gilbert stepped up with the free kick and fired the ball straight into the net to the delight of the Town supporters.

With nine played and Lee Bryant got up well and headed the ball against the cross bar but Jamie Risebrow followed up and made it two nil to the Town.A minute later a Cove went on the attack and first Dave Roffey pulled of a great save and then Danny Guscott pulled of a great save onn the line. This was followed by a gaol mouth scramble which again saw Dave Roffey clear.With twenty eight played Adam Pullen but in a superb cross to the centre and the Cove central defender scored into his own net to make the score three nil to Horley.With fourteen left Jamie Risebrow did a good run into the box but his shot ws deflected wide and Luke Raggetti took the corner.Again from the corner Town hit the upright and the ball bounced into the Cove keepers hand.With eight left Jamie Risberow broke into the boxc and shot and the keeper palmed the ball away only for John Eldred to fire the ball just wide of the upright.A minute later and Jamie Risbrow again tested the keeper and this time he had to tip it over the cross bar to give Town another corner by Luke Reggetti.From the corner skipper Danny Guscott got up well and headed goal bound and the keeper just saved it on the line.Twon went in at half time winning three nil.A minute into the second half and Adam Pullen got pulled down in the box and up stepped Anthony Jupp to take the penalty unfortunately for Town he fired the ball straight at the keeper and the ball bounced to safty.

With ten played Luke Rggetti went for JJ and Nathan Jupp came on as well. A minute later a cross from Adam Pullen saw John Eldred fire just wide of the upright.From the goal kick the ball bounced in the very powerful wind and landed at the forwards feet and he powered the ball into the back of the net to make it three one in the 53rd minute.In the fifty six minute Cove made it three two.With twenty two left Lee Bryant was replaced by Chris Weller.

The play was then all Cove and Roffey was again called into action to keep Cove Out.Dave Roffey then through the ball out to the Cove central forward but his shot went over cross bar. Liam Cox then went in the referee book.From the free kick Adam Pullen headed it clear on the goal line. Town held out till the end and finished with three points a home win and a good final result for Alie Rennie in his last game.
