Horley Town 1 Wembley 1

A game of two half's Horley won the first and Wembley won the second. Town got the perfect start dominating the first half and going in one nil up through skipper Ben Herdman. Wembley equalised in the second half and put Town under a lot of pressure through the second half.

Town were still with out injured Luke Regetti and Chris Weller and suspended skipper Anthony Jupp who served his out his last game of his suspension against Wembley.With ten played Tom Winsor got up from the back and crossed to Adam Pullen who saw his header go just over the cross bar.With eleven played a good cross the the tireless Jack Poplett saw skipper Ben Herdman rise above the home defence and power his header into the back of the net for a great Town goal.

With fifteen played Jack Poplett tried his luck from long range and his superb shot took a last minute deflection of a Wembley defender and went out for a corner.With twenty played another god cross from Jack Poplett saw Adam Pullen get on the end of it but his shot went just wide of the upright after beating the keeper.Next up a corner by John Eldred found Jack Poplett whose shot was cleared on the line.This was followed by Adam Pullen being pushed over in the box but the refere gave nothing and waved play on.With ten left Jack Poplett again ran down the wing and shot and the ball went just over the cross bar.In the closing minute Steve Rollinson did well covering at the back for Town.Then Wembley picked up a booking for taking out Jack Poplett.This was followed by Tom Winsor clearing well at the back to keep Town in front at half time one nil. In the first minute the Wembley defender passed the ball back to his keeper and he piked it up and despite Town appeal for a back pass the referee waved play on.The ball went straight up the other end and keeper Ian Chatfield did well save at the near post.

Next a good move which saw Kevin Lock have a shot cleared and then Adam Pullen followed up but his shot went wide iof the upright.With fourteen played Wembley broke free and somehow Ian Chatfield flicked the ball round the post.With fifteen played Wembley scored from a corner into the bottom corner of the Horley net.this was followed by a shot from Jack Poplett which saw the Wembley keeper flap at the ball and then punch the ball clear. Then Town were put under a lot of pressure and Liam Cox and then skipper Ben Herdman clear to keep Town in the game.

Kevin Lock the crossed the ball into the area and the Wembley keeper again flapped at it but got it at the third attempt.Then he had to come out of his area and header the ball away with Kevin Lock closing the ball down.With six minutes left Jack Poplett was replaced with Nathan Jupp. In the last minute of time Kyle Hough broke free passed the ball to Adam Pullen who lobbed and beat the advancing Wembley keeper only for the ball to g just over the cross bar.Then Laim Cox got booked for Town.Town put pressure on in the last few minute of injury tme after a great run by Adam Pullen and a shot from Tom Winsor, in the end Town had to settle for a point at home.
